Meet Dr. Noah Belman
Dr Noah Belman
I am passionate about what I do, both in and out of my career. At work, I love the people I work with – my team and my patients – and I love the physical art of dentistry.
I’m grateful to be in the business of helping people; it makes me feel that I’m making the world a better place.
I believe in specialization because focusing on one area breeds excellence. I can’t do all things well, no one can. I focus my practice on Restorative Dentistry, which means keeping your teeth healthy, strong and functional by fixing broken teeth with fillings, crowns, veneers and replacing missing teeth with implants, bridges, and dentures. I believe in the least amount of dentistry possible to achieve your desired result. I also believe in natural beauty so that your smile is well integrated and beautiful, without a cosmetic look. I partner with colleagues who specialize in root canal therapy or gum surgery, partners who achieve excellence in those areas.
I received a B.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario in physiology and I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto.
But I became the dentist I am today long after I left dental school. In my pursuit to strive for excellence, it was five years out of dental school that a course (in the marketing of all things) enlightened me. I am always continuing my education and have studied extensively at institutes that teach excellence, such as The Pankey Institute, Spear Education (The Seattle Institute) and the Misch Institute. This is my journey; I believe in constantly growing and learning because it benefits you and me both.
Of course, I do more than work. I bring the same passion I have for my career to my civilian life. I love music. I collect music (currently I have over 14,000 songs on my iPod) and am an obsessive concert-goer (I have seen nearly 100 Springsteen shows). I enjoy photography, yoga, hiking, movies, and reading. I am an avid cyclist and I use my cycling to do good in the world. I captain a team for the Ride to Conquer Cancer. In fundraising, my team is in the top 10 (usually in the top four). When all is said and done, my most favourite thing to do, my greatest passion, is to spend time with my three beautiful kids: Jake, Hannah, and Jonah.
